2. What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number (if given) and what you bought.
- Payment details: these are handled securely by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through social media, such as returns requests or questions.
- Website data: your IP address, browser, device and how you use our site, collected through cookies.
- Marketing preferences: whether you've signed up to our newsletter, emails or texts, when and how you signed up, and when you unsubscribed.
- Cookie choices: a record of which cookies you've accepted or declined, so we can respect your choice.
3. How we use it, and why we're allowed to

5. International transfers
Some of these companies, including Shopify and Tapstitch, store or process data outside the UK, for example in the US, Canada or China. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses, to protect your information.
6. How long we keep it
- Order and financial records: 6 years, because UK tax law requires it.
- Emails and customer service messages: up to 2 years after we last speak to you.
- Newsletter and marketing list: until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep your email address on a suppression list so we never contact you again by mistake.
- Cookie choices: up to 12 months, after which we'll ask you again.
7. Marketing consent
We only send you marketing, such as our newsletter, new drops, offers and news, if you've actively said yes. We never pre-tick boxes, and we never buy or rent mailing lists.
- How you sign up: by ticking the box at checkout or entering your email in one of our sign-up forms.
- Our newsletter: signing up with your email also subscribes you to the Oddens newsletter, with new drops, behind-the-scenes news and subscriber-only offers. It's the same list, so one unsubscribe stops both.
- Texts: we'll only text you marketing if you've separately agreed to texts.
- Email tracking: our marketing emails may show us whether they were opened and which links were clicked. We use this to send fewer, better emails. Turning off automatic image loading in your email app stops it.
- Personalised ads: if you accept marketing cookies, partners such as TikTok may use information about your visit to show you Oddens ads on their platforms.
Saying no or unsubscribing never affects your orders. We'll still send the emails you need about purchases, like order confirmations, shipping updates and returns, because those aren't marketing.
Withdrawing consent stops future marketing. It doesn't affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
9. How to opt out
You're always in control. Here's how to say no at any time, free of charge:
Newsletter and marketing emails
Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any newsletter or marketing email, or email hello@oddens.store with the subject "Unsubscribe".
Marketing texts
Reply STOP to any of our texts, or email us.
Cookies
Decline non-essential cookies in our cookie banner. To change an earlier choice, clear our site's cookies in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, like your basket, may stop working.
Personalised ads
Decline marketing cookies, and manage your ad preferences in the ad settings of apps like TikTok.
Anything else
Email hello@oddens.store and we'll sort it.
We'll act on your request promptly. It may take a few days for an unsubscribe to reach every system, so you might get one last email that was already scheduled.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information
- correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- object to or restrict how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to another company
- withdraw your consent at any time, including to marketing and cookies

11. Keeping your information safe
We use trusted providers with strong security, and we limit access to your information to people who need it.
12. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
